ZONE MANAGEMENT

The campus has been divided into five zones -- North, East, West, Perimeter, and Central -- which will be headed by zone managers who will serve as the central person for all building services. Most maintenance and building services are provided by teams of service providers who have an office within the zone. Physical Plant maintains some central specialized shops for which duplication within each zone would not be effective or efficient.
The Housing and Carrier Dome zones are separated from the other five zones. The Carrier Dome is responsible for only the Carrier Dome. Their website can be reached at http://carrierdome.syr.edu. Housing and Food Services Maintenance Zone (HFSM) is responsible for all residential and dining facilities. You can reach their website at http://auxilliaryservices.syr.edu/.
